Caravan Booking

I'm excited to share one of my recent client projects: **Little Retreat UK** 🇬🇧🏖️ 🌐 **Live:** https://www.littleretreat.uk/ Little Retreat UK is a complete caravan and holiday-home booking marketplace built to simplify the rental experience for guests, owners, and administrators through a modern, secure, and scalable platform. ### 🚀 What I worked on Over the course of this project, I implemented and refined a wide range of features, including: ✅ Role-based dashboards for Admin, Owners, and Customers ✅ Secure caravan booking and Stripe payment integration ✅ Annual owner subscription system (£99 listing fee) ✅ Booking management and availability calendars ✅ Manual/offline booking system with feature flags ✅ Review and moderation system ✅ Cloudinary image upload integration ✅ Admin CMS for homepage content, partners, social links, and contact information ✅ Advanced filtering, search, and analytics dashboards ✅ Owner profile and bank information management ✅ Responsive UI with an optimized user experience across devices ### 💻 Tech Stack * Next.js 14 (App Router) * React 18 * Tailwind CSS * JavaScript * Firebase Authentication * Express.js * MongoDB * Stripe * Cloudinary * Axios * TanStack Query ### 🎯 Project Goal The objective was to build a reliable marketplace where: * Guests can discover and book verified caravans with confidence. * Owners can manage listings, bookings, and earnings efficiently. * Administrators have complete control over approvals, content management, users, payments, and platform operations. ### 🛠️ Development Process This project required much more than simply building pages. It involved understanding real business workflows, translating client requirements into scalable features, optimizing user experience, integrating multiple third-party services, and continuously improving the platform based on client feedback. Every module—from booking logic and payment processing to dashboards, calendars, content management, and image handling—was carefully designed to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability. I'm especially grateful that the client is extremely happy with the final product. Seeing a project evolve from requirements to a live production platform that solves real business problems is always rewarding. Projects like this continue to strengthen my experience in building production-ready SaaS platforms and marketplace applications.
